Advocacy

As part of our mission, CBRA advocates on behalf of biomedical research, teaching, and testing – assisting biomedical research facilities and individuals in representing their work to the public and to elected officials.

CBRA tracks, analyzes, and acts on local, state, and federal legislation that could potentially impact biomedical research, and provides accurate information about current laws and regulations governing research, including the use of animals in research.

In addition to developing white papers and comment on current issues, CBRA supports and maintains collaborations with other state associations for biomedical research, national organizations, professional scientific societies, and federal agencies, which benefit member facilities through information, analysis, and programs. CBRA publishes the quarterly Advocacy Update and issues periodic Alerts. Additional information, advocacy links, and alerts are available in our Advocacy Action Center
