IACUC CIC: Collaborations ~ Implementation ~ Corporations: The Role of Ethics, Animal Law, Security, and Compliance in a Successful Research Program is a groundbreaking program developed and hosted by the California Biomedical Research Association (CBRA). The two-day conference will be held September 14-15, 2011 at the South San Francisco Conference Center is South San Francisco, CA.

While an IACUC is key in running an animal program, the responsibilities of IACUCs can vary by institution. IACUC CIC: Collaborations ~ Implementation ~ Corporations: The Role of Ethics, Animal Law, Security, and Compliance in a Successful Research Program is designed to cover IACUC issuses pertinent to any animal research program, but to also address those specific and unique to corporate, CRO, and industry settings. This two-day conference will consist of national renowned speakers that specialize in the key areas that make up successful animal care programs, and cover a wide variety of topics and conference tracks including: building an IACUC, USDA inspections, compliance, the New Guide, Ethics and Emotions, and Animal Law, and a range of other topics.

CBRA is working to obtain approval for CEUs for this workshop.

CANCELLATIONS:
Cancellations submitted in writing prior to August 19, 2011 are necessary for reimbursement of the registration fee minus a $25.00 administration fee. Cancellations after August 19, 2011 WILL NOT be refunded.

Registration fee includes attendance at all sessions, continental breakfast, refreshment breaks, lunch, course syllabus and hard copy materials, and other amenities involved in creating a rewarding learning experience.

CBRA reserves the right to cancel all programs and return all fees. Liability is limited to the course fee. CBRA will not be responsible for any losses incurred by registrants including, but not limited to, airline cancellation charges, or hotel deposits. The program agenda is subject to change without notice.

TRANSPORTATION AND PARKING:
There is a complimentary airport shuttle from the San Francisco International Airport to the Holiday Inn San Francisco.

There is free parking at the hotel for registered guests.

There is free parking at the South San Francisco Conference Center for registered conference attendees.

DIRECTIONS:
From the South (San Jose) and the San Francisco International Airport.
Take Highway 101 north to the South Airport Boulevard exit #424 (which is two miles north of the San Francisco International Airport). At the first stop light, drive straight across the intersection and directly into the Holiday Inn parking lot. The South San Francisco Conference Center is on the left.

From the North (San Francisco)
Take Highway 101 South to the South Airport Boulevard exit #424 in South San Francisco. Stay to the right and turn east under the freeway overpass. Make a right, at the Hungry Hunter Restaurant, onto South Airport Boulevard. The South San Francisco Conference Center is located on the left between the CitiGarden Hotel and the Holiday Inn.

From Marin County, 19th Avenue, Daly City
Take the Golden Gate Bridge to 19th Avenue and continue on to Highway 280 South. From Highway 280, take Highway 380 East to Highway 101 North (San Francisco). From Highway 101 North exit at South Airport Boulevard. At the first stop light, drive straight across the intersection into the Holiday Inn parking lot. The South San Francisco Conference Center is located on the left. Note: There is a South Airport Boulevard exit off Highway 380. Do not take this exit. Please take the South Airport Boulevard exit off of Highway 101 North.
