Founded in 1983, CBRA serves as the primary voice for the biomedical research
community on the connection between animal research and advances in human and animal
health.
CBRA promotes positions consistent with the responsible use of animals in medical research
and provides fact sheets and materials on a number of pertinent topics. CBRA is available to
answer questions from the media, general public, and from research facilities on legislative,
regulatory, and legal issues effecting biomedical research at the local, state, and federal
levels, and on the critical role of animals in research.
The following documents and web links may be of interest or use to representatives from the media
seeking additional information about biomedical research, drug development, animal rights activisms,
and the important role animals play in medical advancement.
CBRA can also assist reporters seeking additional information or interviews with researchers on a
variety of tropics.
