"We must educate people on what nobody knew yesterday and prepare people in our schools for what no one knows yet, but what some people must know tomorrow."
Margaret Mead, American Anthropologist
The California Society for Biomedical Research (CSBR), a 501 (c) 3 non-profit organization, is dedicated to improving human and animal health by promoting public understanding and support for bopmedical research and discovery through lifescience education and outreach. We seek to foster an understanding of the scientific process, and to inspire students to careers in the lifesciences.
The Society supports STEM education programs, conducts public outreach on the research process, and develops, publishes, and distributes, free-of-charge, lifescience curriculum resources and public education materials. An important component of the Society's mission is the expansion of the employee pipeline for biomedical research and the lifesciences.
